H. G. Wells hand drawn sketch of Kathleen with feathers as her hair, and a sinister face brandishing a Hockey stick, with other players laid out behind her.
There are annotations around it
“Let me have it Let me have it”, “This is Mr X playing Hockey”, “These feathers are fowle feathers”.
This is a play on words as she was well known for her foul play at Hockey.
It is signed to Kathleen West
May 1914
H G Wells.
The page measures 8 ½ x 7 inches.
From a H. G. Wells early 1900s Autograph Book of Kathleen Cranmer-Byng (Kathleen West) who had a long association with H. G. Wells.
