David Judge is regarded by many as the greatest Irish Hockey player to have ever held a stick.
During his incredible twenty-one year international career, Judge amassed 124 Ireland caps - an incredible feat considering the small number of international fixtures played in his time, in comparison with modern day Hockey.
A determined defender and dependable leader, Judge captained his country on thirty-one occasions and competed with Ireland in the first two European Nations Cups in Brussels (1970) and Madrid (1974).
Judge also played in the legendary Irish team of 1978 that competed in the Men's World Cup Finals in Buenos Aires in 1978 and also competed in the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games with Great Britain, for whom he earned fifteen caps.
