I thought it would be fun to build a guitar out of Hockey sticks, I grew up in Montreal in the 70s when Guy Lafleur, Ken Dryden and Yvan Cournoyer played for the Montreal Canadians. Larry Robinson even lived in my neighbourhood. I looked up to these guys, they were the best. As a little kid I played all kinds of Hockey, ice Hockey, road Hockey, floor Hockey, air Hockey and I still remember my brother and I playing Hockey in my moms kitchen with hockey sticks we got out of the cereal boxes, I don’t play a lot of Hockey now, but its in my blood. Building this guitar is a tribute to all the great memories I had as a kid, like my dad getting me up at 5:30 am on a Saturday for practice. Freshly sharpened skates on newly zambonied ice. Scoring a goal! Now I love guitars as much as I loved Hockey, so here it is- my Hockey stick guitar
