ORIGINAL TV FOOTAGE aired by WGN. In 1972 WGN aired a special called – Destination Stanley Cup – as the Blackhawks headed into the 72’ playoffs. As part of that special, they rolled high quality broadcast highlights of the 1971 playoffs. The Hawks battled the NY Rangers to 7 games with 3 going to OT. This was Game 5, Bobby Hull scores the winner in OT off the draw in front of Ed Giacomin…Pandemonium at Chicago Stadium
