Too Colourful for the League chronicles the efforts of former Hockey player Richard Lord as he lobbies to have Herb Carnegie elected to the hockey hall of fame. Having experienced Hockey’s colour bar first hand, Lord’s mission is to have Carnegie’s contribution to the game recognized, something which he feels, is long overdue. Too Colourful for the League also follows the path of up-and-coming junior Hockey hopeful Seneque Hyacinthe, a Black player who glides across Northern Quebec rinks with one goal – to make the NHL.
