Hamilton Fincups captain Dale McCourt is presented with the Memorial Cup by Canadian Amateur Hockey Association / CAHA President Don Johnson and CCM Vice President George Parsons at Montreal Forum on May 16, 1976.

The Hamilton Fincups had defeated the New Westminster Bruins 5-2 for the 1976 Memorial Cup Championship.

McCourt was also the winner of the Stafford Smythe Memorial Trophy as playoff MVP., along with being selected to the First All-Star Team at centre.
