Réal Cloutier 1977 Quebec Nordiques with the World Hockey Association / WHA William D. Hunter Trophy, which was awarded to the WHA scoring champion.

Réal Cloutier won the award for the 1976-77 WHA season, scoring 66 goals, 78 assists in the regular season (76 games). He also added another 14 goals, 13 assists in 17 playoff games.

The Quebec Nordiques also won the Avco World Trophy (Avco Cup) in 1977, with Cloutier leading the Nordiques to the championship.
