Nicholas John Bawlf - Born January 4th, 1884 in Winnipeg, Manitoba - Died June 6, 1947 in Ithaca, New York was a Canadian ice Hockey centre & defenseman, coach, plus also a soccer and lacrosse coach at Cornell University.

Bawlf played with the Ottawa College and the Ottawa Emmetts between 1903–1909.

Between 1909–1916 Bawlf played for the Haileybury Comets, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Ontarios/Shamrocks and Montreal Wanderers in the National Hockey Association (NHA).

After his playing career he was a long serving coach of the Cornell University Big Red Hockey team between 1920 and 1942.

Bawlf came from a Hockey family in Winnipeg, MB. His younger brother Tommie Bawlf was also a Hockey player and his cousins Billy, Fred and Chauncey Bawlf were all members of the Winnipeg Victorias at different times in their Hockey playing careers.
