Joseph Alston "Stoney" Wise - Born October 29, 1904 in Winnipeg, Manitoba – Died September 23, 1984 was a Canadian ice Hockey right winger.

Wise played all his Hockey in Winnipeg, winning a Memorial Cup championship in 1923 with the University of Manitoba Junior Hockey team, the 1931 Allan Cup championship with the Winnipeg Hockey Club (Winnipegs), Pattinson Cup Champions 1931 as Manitoba's Provincial Champions, Keane Memorial Cup Winners 1931 as Winnipeg's City Champions and the Scotland Woolen Mills Trophy Winners 1931.

In 1932 Wise was a member of the Winnipeg Hockey Club which won the World Championships and Olympic Gold Medal for Canada. He played five games and scored two goals at the Lake Placid Olympics.
