A late season challenge from the Winnipeg Victorias saw the Montreal Shamrocks play three games against the Manitoba champions. Playing all three games in five days, the Victorias won the first one, and the Shamrocks claimed the other two to remain Stanley Cup champions for another challenge. All three games were decided by one-goal margins.

- February 12, 1900 Winnipeg Victorias defeat Montreal Shamrocks 4 to 3
- February 14, 1900 Montreal Shamrocks defeat Winnipeg Victorias 3 to 2
- February 16, 1900 Montreal Shamrocks defeat Winnipeg Victorias 5 to 4

This ticket from game one, saw Winnipeg players, Tony Gingras scoring 1 goal, Dan Bain score 2 goals and W. N. Roxborough score 1 goal. Montreal players Harry Trihey with 2 goals and Fred Scanlon with 1 goal.

Montreal's Harry Trihey was the offensive star with seven goals, including three in the finale.
