United States Men's National Ice Hockey Team representing the United States at the 1949 world amateur Hockey championships at Stockholm, Sweden, earned a Bronze medal, losing only to Canada and Switzerland.

Team USA also played a total of 35 exhibition matches before and after the WC tournament, in England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia, the Netherlands and Sweden.
