William David Thoms - Born March 5, 1910 in Newmarket, Ontario – Died December 26, 1964 in Toronto, Ontario was a professional ice Hockey player.

Thoms played for the Newmarket Redmen from 1928 to 1929, West Toronto Nationals from 1929 to 1930, Toronto Marlboros from 1930 to 1932, Toronto Eaton's from 1931 to 1932, Syracuse Stars from 1931 to 1933, Toronto Maple Leafs from 1932 to 1939, Chicago Black Hawks from 1938 to 1944, Boston Bruins from 1944 to 1945 and the Toronto Maher Jewels from 1947 to 1948.

Thoms shared the NHL goal-scoring lead with Charlie Conacher in 1935–36, with 23 goals and 15 assists in 48 games.

After his retirement in 1945, he briefly coached the Toronto Marlboros of the OHA.
