Hosted by Patrick Maliha Featuring: The Hockey Gods very own Don Berry (aka Jacques Lalonde), comedian Charles Demers and more! Local Celebrity Guests compete to raise money for Canuck Place Children's Hospice. Sadly the Hockey Strike has especially hit hard local children's charities who need your support. Get Your Hockey Fix and help raise funds for a good cause!

Welcome Back To Another NHL Season With The HockeyGods

Hello all and welcome back for another NHL season here at HockeyGods.com! We have dished out a healthy dosage of new site design, have the forums up and running, and will have up to date statistics again for this NHL season.

This is, of course, in addition to the entertainment we are planning on bringing you. Be prepared for a sexy Winnipeg Jets video (complete with body painted jerseys) a reggae song, and perhaps even Mc Five Hole will make an appearance!

As for the website, you can expect cool things to keep popping up intermittently over the next coming months so keep on checking back in and join in the fun!

As always, we appreciate your feedback in the form of comments, forum posts, emails or whatever other means you can muster up (no mail bombs please)!

Greetings HockeyGods and HockeyGoddesses! The team at HockeyGods.com would like to take a moment to thank each and everyone of you for visiting our site, watching our videos, participating in our first Hockey Pool and being a fan of ours and of Hockey general.

We would like to take the time now to give and extra THANK YOU to all those members who became 'Gold Medal Members' by donating a small amount towards our site. YOU GUYS/GALS ROCK!

Another extra thanks goes out to those who participated in our first Hockey Pool. We hope you all had fun making your picks and competing for the top spot. Congratulations to user nelzon for being the overall points winner, followed up by Kanuck. It was a battle all the way to the end. All the winners will be contacted soon and the prizes will be worked out.

Our goal here at HockeyGods.com has always been, and continues to be, to try and bring together Hockey fans across the world and unite them by offering up a place that houses the most unique, comprehensive, and fun Hockey content available; from Ice Hockey and Field Hockey all the way to Underwater Hockey, Air Hockey, Table-Top Hockey and more. This may be a gargantuan endeavour (and believe us, it is) but we are still as committed as ever to achieving these heights.

To the point: the fact is that without you, the fans and supporters of us and the game of Hockey, we will never accomplish these goals. We are a very small (read: 3 plus volunteers) team, but that does not mean we have small ideas or passions. You guys have shown us a tremendous amount of support in our first season here (we launched the website December 13th, 2011) and we really hope that you will continue to do so.

We have just put forth a massive update to the website (all of the underlying frameworks and designs have been updated) to try and keep on top of not just Hockey itself, but the technologies to bring forth our content to you in sleek and fun new ways. We have several fresh and exciting ideas coming through the pipeline such as forums, tonnes of new content (lots of which will be user submitted) and a completely Hockey related social feed style interface for our members, just to name a few. Again, we are very small (with absolutely no budget) but are dedicated to making this happen and it will not be done without your support and feedback.

As for this most recent update, the Image Gallery has been completely overhauled and hopefully provides a better and more interesting way to interact with the images within. Our goal for the Public Image Gallery is to compile the most complete Hockey related image collection anywhere. This includes historical (of which we have a good many already) and current images of all different types of Hockey. We are asking that you upload any and all different types of images that you can muster up. The rest of the updates are *insert boring techical jargon here* and slight design and layout tweaks. We hope to keep improving on every aspect of the website to make it more navigable and fun to use for everyone.

What would you guys like to see? We would love to hear what you have to say about any area of the website, our videos or anything else that is on your minds. Feel free to comment below and share your thoughts with us. Also, the forums are coming very soon so we will have a better medium to convey ideas and thoughts with each other.

Lord Stanley's Hockey Pool

Hello once again from behind the scenes at HockeyGods.com. This time we have for you, our members, a brand new, original hockey pool for the NHL 2011 Playoffs.

This pool will last 9 weeks (you must choose your roster weekly, you have a week to do so) and there are several different prizes for our members to win. Anyone can sign up, enter and play. However, if you want the BEST chance to win the Overall Points Prize, then you better get your first round picks in before the first week's deadline of April 17th @ Midnight Pacific Standard Time.

The other main feature that you will notice we added, is the ability to upgrade your accout to Gold Medal Member status. For a small donation (completely put towards keeping HockeyGods.com alive) you will have access to a multitude of exclusive options. As for right now, the more valid weekly rosters you submit as a Gold Medal Member, you can win more prizes in the HockeyPool. Future benefits of this include discounts on our custom HockeyGods.com merchandise (coming really soon!), access to exclusive areas of the website, and many more fun and exciting ideas as we roll them out.

In addition to these two main features, there were several other minor updates to layouts, functionality and design.

The Inaugural Post for HockeyGods.com Updates

Greetings everyone and welcome to the first of many HockeyGods.com updates. We will be keeping you informed of what we are currently working on and what we have coming through the pipeline and into the future. Most importantly we want to know what you guys/gals want to see next!

This initial update has brought with it quite a few changes and the foundation has been laid for several to come. Currently we have updated the wite with...

New design and layout with a bunch of new features and navigational elements (which we promise won't be drastically changing for a while!)
Several new and exciting article columns and contributers.
An entire NHL statistics section (currently only player stats with a lot more to come.)
Other tweaks and changes and things I'm forgetting.

A few of the things that we are planning on getting up and running in the near future are ...

Article entries at a constant rate from different writers providing great content from all different angles of hockey.
Continuation of the stats area which will include team-related information, other leagues and players and different types of hockey.
Finishing the new design and take care of any beta related issues.
An entire community section complete with forums and more interactive areas.
NHL Hockey pools!
