India defeated Pakistan 4-2 after penalty shootout in the final of the Asian Men’s Champions Trophy Hockey Tournament in Ordos, China on Sunday. Both normal and extra time finished goal-less goalless before the winner of the contest was eventually decided by penalties.

India grabbed a 4-2 triumph, a win which was guarenteed thanks to a brilliant performance from goalkeeper Shreejesh, who made saves from HAseem Abdul Khan and Shafqat Rasool to help his team to victory.

Rajpal Singh, Danish Mujtaba, Yuvraj Walmiki and Sarvanjit Singh scored for India in the penalty shootout, with Muhammad Rizwan and Waseem Ahmed finding the goal for Pakstan.

Earlier in the match, both India and Pakistan had ample opportunities to finish off claim victory in regulation time. Pakistan will rue the fact that they failed to convert any of the seven penalty corners that they had during the match, while India's Juvraj missed a glorious chance to seal the win with a close range strike in the 65th minute.

However, it was the young and talented India team that held its nerve in the Penalty Shoot-Out to win the Inaugural men's Asian Champions Trophy.

The bronze medal in the tournament went to Malaysia, who overcame Japan 1-0.

Goals and excitement were in abundance on the final day of the Women's Champions Trophy in Ordos, China.
The tournament final provided fantastic entertainment for the capacity crowd. China scored in the 12th minute from a penalty corner through their captain Ma Yibo. Six miutes later the irrepressible Fu Baorong made it 2-0 with a typical poacher's strike, but Korea pulled one back a minute later through Kim Ok Ju. Just before half-time Cheon Eun Bi scored, to make the score 2-2 at half-time.
Korea started the second half in sparkling fashion, and found goals in the 44th and 45th minutes from Kim Jong Eun and Kim Jong Hee to establish a 4-2 lead. Despite this, China were far from finished and Gao Li Hua scored an excellent solo effort to reduce the deficit. However, the match was put beyond Korea's reach six minutes from time when Park Mi Hyun restored Korea's two goal advantage and sealed victory over the host nation.
Earlier in the day, Japan took the Bronze medal with a 3-2 victory over India. Vandana Kataria put India ahead in the seventh minute before Rani Rampal doubled the lead when she converted an indirect penalty corner before half time.
However, Japan hit back with second half strikes from Rika Komazawa (52nd min penalty corner) and Kaori Fujio (63rd min) before Ai Murakami scored the golden goal from a penalty stroke (76th min).
